"Bizarre experience: My friend and I were on a road trip, and we stopped in for supplies. The place was clean, everyone was smiling, and someone stocking shelves even went above and beyond to help us find a very specific item. We were in a great mood, laughing and having fun, but when we got to check out there was a shorter woman with glasses who absolutely hated us for no reason. She kept rolling her eyes and mocking us, we couldn’t figure out why. The nicer we were, the meaner she was. At the end I said “I hope the rest of your day gets better,” and she literally said “It was fine until you showed up.” Funny, but remember, we were just friendly people buying groceries from a grocery store, not a pack of wild dogs fighting over a rotisserie chicken. We laughed it off, but honestly, why is she in the service business? I hated working customer service too, which is why I quit."
